Abstract

This study aims to produce a digital pictorial story book based on multiple intelligences that are theoretically valid and effective to improve the narrative writing skills of grade V SDS Yasporbi III students. The research was conducted using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The results of the product validation value developed by media experts were 83.8%, material experts were 84.2%, linguists were 82.2%, and practicing experts were 97.7%. From the resulting average score, the product can be categorized as very valid or very feasible to use. The level of product attractiveness is based on the field trial stage for students obtained a value of 91% which is categorized as very attractive. The use of digital picture books based on multiple intelligences on theme 5 “Love Indonesia” has proven to fulfill the feasibility aspect for use in learning and has succeeded in improving students' narrative writing skills and facilitating the multiple intelligences of grade V SDS Yasporbi III students. This can be proven from the results of the students' post-test scores during field trials. The results of student scores have increased by 21.12%, namely from the average percentage of pre-test scores before using the product of 70.2% where only 4 out of 18 students passed the minimum completeness standards and the average percentage of student scores during the post -test or after using the product of 89% where all students passed the minimum completeness standard.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the initial causes of the formation of the Karya VII Helvetia settlement, Sunggal Subdistrict, social and economic life in Karya VII Helvetia settlement, Sunggal District. This research uses a social research approach, by applying field research and assisted by literature in accordance with the discussion. For field research, the authors interviewed 5 people who had lived in Karya VII's settlement for at least 10 years according to the research needs. The data obtained from the results of field research and several literature sources were then analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. From the research results, it is known that the initial cause of the formation of the Karya VII Helvetia settlement in Sunggal Subdistrict was a strong desire to seek a better life in urban areas but this was not accompanied by adequate abilities, which automatically failed to compete in terms of quality. This made them bury their dreams of enjoying a prosperous life, living in a proper place and volunteering to live on land that is not their own or land owned by the State in Karya VII Helvetia, Sunggal District. Economically, in the Karya VII Helvetia settlement, Sunggal Subdistrict, by involving housewives to work as scavengers, traders, using the house yard to raise chickens, using the back of the house to raise pigs.

Abstract

This article describes social studies learning based on the values of Baduy local wisdom in environmental aspects as a learning resource. Environmental issues are still a challenge at this time because phenomena in various regions of the country show that environmental damage is still quite severe so that it affects natural conditions, especially erratic climate change. In addition, some of the impacts that arise are detrimental to humans.  Social studies learning based on values of local wisdom Baduy can be   an effort to instill a caring attitude of the learning environment for the purpose of Social Studies Learning is to prepare students as citizens who have knowledge, attitudes and values, skills which can be used as a social problem-solving skill and actively participate in community activities. Baduy people still have a rule called pikukuh as a principle in carrying out life activities while maintaining natural preservation.

Abstract

The Babad Panjalu manuscript is a local cultural heritage that has not been uplifted and is widely known by the community, especially the Panjalu community, Babad Panjalu is one of the most useful sources of local knowledge today. This study aims to determine an overview of the contents of the manuscript and local knowledge contained in the Babad Panjalu text. This study used a historical method design with research steps, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and the last stage, namely historiography, using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, namely literature study or literature study. The results of this study indicate that Babad Panjalu is a copy manuscript which was completed on July 10, 1905, written by Prajadinata from Panjalu Ciamis. Babad Panjalu is a collection of C.M. Pleyte, which is stored in box 121 at the Jakarta National Library Museum, uses Sundanese as the medium and is written in the form of dangding or pupuh. Babad Panjalu reveals various local knowledge including knowledge about the world of fauna and flora, Sundanese musical instruments, Sundanese paribasa, sacred places in Panjalu, and the history of Panjalu.

Abstract

Bayah District is administratively one of the sub-districts in Lebak Regency. Lebak Regency has abundant natural resources, one of which is coal. Coal in Lebak Regency is scattered in various areas, one of which is Bayah District. Coal mining in Bayah District has existed since the Japanese occupation in 1942 1945. Over time, coal mining was reopened in 1999, and coal mining has now become one of the livelihoods in Bayah District. This research is focused on the 1999-2015 timeframe because during that period the dynamics of coal mining occurred which had an impact on the socio-economic life of Bayah District. The method used in this study is a historical method which includes: Heuristics (data collection), Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. The results showed that the general geographical description of the people of Bayah District were farmers and fishermen. As the community of Bayah Subdistrict realized that there was potential for coal in Bayah District, coal mining in Bayah District began to operate again in 1999. The existence of coal mining resulted in a shift of professions in the Bayah District community.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is, is there an influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by the wall magazine learning media in history subject related to the Indonesian nation responses toward imperialism and colonialism on the critical thinking ability in XI IPS 4 class of SMA Negeri 5 Tasikmalaya academic year 2019/2020. The method utilized in this study is a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were all XI IPS classes at SMA 5 Tasikmalaya with a total of 175 students. The sample in this study was class XI IPS 4, with a total of 36 students. A purposive sampling technique took samples. This research instrument was in the form of a critical thinking test with 9 item description questions. Technical data analysis was performed using IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 25.0 for Windows software. The results showed that the problem-based learning model assisted by the wall magazine learning media influenced the students' critical thinking ability. This is evidenced by the average of the critical thinking ability of the experimental class using a problem-based learning model assisted by a wall magazine learning media was 80.07, while the average critical thinking ability of students who used discovery learning models was 70.45. The results of processing the hypothesis test using Mann Whitney obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05. This showed that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Therefore, there is the influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by the wall magazine learning media on the critical thinking ability in XI IPS 4 class of SMA Negeri 5 Tasikmalaya academic year 2019/2020.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover and analyze the form of socialstratification in sasak noble people in Jerowaru Sub-District of East Lombok Regency-NTB between the 1970s and 2000s. The research approach used is qualitative research with historical methods where in addition to obtaining the source of documents as well as using oral sources to be able to perform reconstruction. The results showed that before the 1970s the existence of social stratification in the community in Jerowaru Village in particular had quite high differences both from aspects of language, customary clothing, marriage system and others.  Sehas in the 1970s has shown a change, this is not separated from the influence and existenceof pesantran hut established by one of the famous religious figures in Lombok namely Tuan Guru Mutawalli, and at the same time some fundamental changes caused by intenal aspects. One interesting thing about the cultural history of the existence of nobles in the period between 1970-2000 is that there was a very rapid change, because some other studies showed that the change in the form of social stratification elsewhere, especially the nobles showed a changethat was not very significant.

Abstract

Palembang is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia, a historical city and a prominent city with the greatness of the Srivijaya kingdom. Various events have become important historical traces for the local community and the general public, one of which is historical sites. One of them is the Archaeological Park of the Sriwijaya Kingdom, where this historical site can be developed and utilized to increase the regional economy. The purpose of this research is to find out how to use and develop historical sites for the improvement of the regional economy. Data were collected through a qualitative approach by exploring and interviewing participants accompanied by a review of various literatures. The result of this research is that the local government and society are sustainable in maintaining, developing, and utilizing historical sites to improve the regional economy.

Abstract

This study aims to study the ability of historical thinking in building historical empathy for the history education students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The study was held in semester 112 in class C batch 2018 course of Indonesian history of The Colonial period and class A batch 2017 course of Indonesian history of New Order and Reformation period. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The result of this study is that students of history education have diverse abilities in historical thinking skills. However, on the ability of historical empathy ̧ the entire student history has cognitive empathy. This means students are able to understand the emotions, situations, and conditions of historical figures in the past. In addition, on the ability of cognitive empathy students are able to be objective so that on the understanding of history, students are not on the sides of one figure only
